Both Apache men and women wore jewelry such as earrings, necklaces, bracelets and rings. Earrings would often include strands of beads or turquoise or shells. If bracelets were worn they would typically wrap long strands of beads to make the bracelets. Occasionally bracelets would be made of silver. When rings were worn, they would be made of silver or brass. Mexican silver coins were sometimes used to make the rings, as well as tie slides, concho, and bracelets.

Necklaces are one area where Apache men and women would differ. Women would typically wear more necklaces than men. These could include chokers, single strands of beads, or multiple strands of beads. Necklaces were typically made with turquoise, abalone shells, jet, other shells, stones, commercial glass beads, and particular roots of plants or seeds.

Necklaces typically were strands of glass beads or shells, and sometimes featured an abalone shell pendent. There were no color restrictions; however, they were fond of black and white, red and yellow, light blue, and dark blue. Occasionally men wore wear tweezer necklaces.
