An FSA Adult Education Grant is to provide a means in which a person can obtain their GED certificate, short term training goal, or complete a vocational technology Certificate in an environment which would promote a student’s self-esteem and confidence while assuming responsibility for the choices they make. The program also financially assists in providing short term training opportunities that will enhance an existing job or to develop skills which will lead to job placement or opportunity for Higher Education. Note that grants are based on availibilty of funds.
What is a complete applicaton?
All applications and paperwork begin at the Tribe’s Educations Program Office. Applicants must submit the following items with applications:
- Certification of Fort Sill Apache Tribe membership (CDIB) or produce and enrollment card from a Federally recognized tribe, or a Bureau of Indian Affair CDIB card.
- Verification of age (Birth Certificate)
- Proof of residence.
- A letter of intent (A personal letter stating exactly what plan of action is during and after school)
- Must verify that class, seminar, or training will enhance existing employment or help them acquire a marketable skill when seeking employment.
- Letter of acceptance from a recognized training school (on letterhead)
- Completed and Signed Application form.
- Complete Financial Needs Analysis from school.

- Conferences
- Seminars
- On-LINE CLASS
- Workshops
Training programs may be full-time or part-time, short-term or long-term
Applicant(s) must reside within the jurisdiction of the Anadarko Agency which consist of five counties: Caddo, Comanche, Cotton, Tillman and Kiowa. See Supplemental Vocational/Trade School Training Program if outside the area.
