Mission
The Fort Sill Apache Tribe Child Care Program mission is to help our clients obtain quality child care so they may find and retain employment, attend training to develop job skills, or return to school. The Child Care Program is an integral part of the social services provided by the Tribe. Obtaining affordable and safe child care will help keep our clients and their families be productive members of our community. Our clients can remain in the workforce if child care is affordable, safe, and conveniently located.
Eligibility
The CCDF serves Fort Sill Apache families with enrolled children under the age of 13 who meet the following criteria:
- Children must reside with the parents, or individuals acting in loco parentis who are working or participating in education or training activities.
- Family income must be at or below 85% of State or tribal median income.
- Children receiving or in need of receiving protective services may be eligible for child care services.
- Priority for CCDF services must be given to children with special needs.
Parents must choose a child care center that is licensed by the State of Oklahoma. In-home care can be provided only if the home is licensed by the State of Oklahoma.
Service Area
Participants must reside in the service area which would include Caddo County (Apache, Cyril & Anadarko areas), Grady County (Chickasha City Limits Only), and Comanche County (Lawton Service Unit).
