Down Payment & Closing Cost Program

The Fort Sill Apache Housing Authority (FSAHA) is dedicated to helping tribal members achieve their dream of homeownership.

The Tribal Funded Down Payment and Closing Cost (DPCC) Program is available to qualifying Fort Sill Apache tribal members.

• There are no income limitations
• Single family residence only
• Property must be a primary residence
• The home must comply with any local zoning or building codes
• First come, first served with a completed application
• May receive up to $10,000
• Must be a Fort Sill Apache tribal member
• Must be at least 18 years or older
• $20,000 minimum purchase (if the purchase is under $20,000, the FSAHA assistance is limited to 50% of the purchase price)
• Must close the mortgage at a licensed title company, attorney, bank, financial institution, or under the supervision of FSAHA
• One grant per household
• Tribal members who apply for the Tribal Funded Program are eligible for one program at a time.
• The DPCC gift program is provided to the tribal member to purchase and reside in the property as their primary residence for three years from the date of the agreement. If a tribal member sells a purchased home within three years, they will not qualify for assistance again for five years. The tribal member must comply and meet the following: maintain home as their primary residence, remain compliant with all lending sources with liens on the property (maintain hazard and/or flood insurance, on the property only if required by mortgage company/bank), and stay current on all property taxes
• Applicants must not have any past due unpaid debts owed to FSAHA or FSA Tribe
• An applicant who received DPCC will need to wait three years to apply for Home Rehabilitation or to reapply for DPCC
